Top 10 Unbelievable Vintage Cigarette Posters

advertisement

yesteryear when cigarette advertising was everywhere, we have compiled this list of amusing (and probably shocking to many people) vintage cigarette posters. Many of the images were sourced from WellMedicated – a link is at the bottom and we recommend you visit the site for more vintage posters (not just smoking-related). As always, click the image for a larger version.

What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

I can’t deal with cigarette smoke. It makes me gag, my stomach contract, and I want to throw up.

"I don't really know if I should smoke, but my brothers and my sweetheart smoke, and it does give me a lot of pleasure.

Women began to smoke, so they tell me, just about the time they began to vote..."

Where's FCM and Loretta when you need them? This add is pure gold.

Although, personally, I love my cigarettes, and you can pry them from my cold, blue lips (because of the lack of oxygen in my blood due to mild emphysema).

Don't you think that someday they will learn how to make us some plastic lungs that we can clean out with one of the bottle scrub brushes?

That's what I banking on.

Seriously.

Lung brush! Dude. I've been waiting for it for years. I mean, how delicate could my lungs really be, considering all the @!$%# I put in 'em? You'd think someone would just come up with some kinda lung squeegee. Like flossing after you eat? Inhale this brush after you smoke.

Is that so unreasonable? I mean, I gave up on getting my teleporter and jet pack, but lung brush? This is America, damnit! Gimme my consumerism.

Lung brush is a fine discovery.

Zom zom, apply for its patent very soon.

So, in near future, we could hear a conversation as given below...!!!

"Darling, have you brushed your lungs?"

"Yes, honey."

"Left?"

"Right."

"Right?"

"Right."

"Right."
